Watches are more than instruments that tell time. They are carriers of history, craftsmanship, and style. When I had the opportunity to photograph the 100 Years Yokohama Special Edition watch, my goal was not only to showcase the product but to capture the spirit of a century of heritage.

Limited Edition, Unlimited Story

The Yokohama special edition marks 100 years of tradition and innovation. Swiss made and produced in only 100 pieces, each watch carries its unique number engraved on the back. Its design is bold, with a dark dial illuminated by striking red accents, evoking both precision and strength. Every detail, from the knurled crown to the polished case, reflects the care of its makers. My task as a photographer was to bring these qualities forward in a way that would resonate with collectors, enthusiasts, and anyone who appreciates design.

Photography that reveals the details

Luxury product photography is all about balance. It is technical, but it also requires sensitivity. For this watch I worked with dramatic light and close-up macro techniques to highlight textures that the eye might otherwise overlook. The rugged crown, the sharp indices, and the interplay between metal and reflection all tell part of the story.

To echo Yokohama’s motorsport heritage, I introduced red tones in the lighting that reflect the racing DNA of the brand. Just like the red accents on the dial recall the speed and adrenaline of the track, the photographs carry that same energy. Instead of simply documenting the watch, the images invite the viewer into an atmosphere of precision, passion, and performance.
